Angela Rowe

Angela’s work history isn’t what you would call typical, and while her career may have started in a usual fashion (banking) she took her first detour when she became a trained casino dealer and worked at SKYCITY in Auckland for three years.

Being a qualified and experienced casino dealer allowed Angela to travel the world while working onboard cruise ships, sailing from place to place for two years until she felt it was time to return home to Aotearoa New Zealand.

The casino work gave Angela a rare and valuable insight into how to manage and connect with people as their best and worst selves. Her calm and professional manner means that Angela can perform and deliver no matter what situation she finds herself in, which is why she is such an effective administrator in an operational capacity.

After over ten years working essentially in Office Manager type roles, Angela was keen to challenge herself to do something quite different and the role of Contracts Manager at Alexander James was exactly what she needed.

Working in support of six busy Consultants and Candidate Managers, Angela is the gatekeeper for our pool of talented contractors. Her diligence and determination to cross all the t’s and dot all the i's, while negotiating with a range of personalities and demands, is elevating the way in which Alexander James delivers for our clients and candidates.
