Our parent company, Alexander James, was founded in 2011 by Stuart Maxwell and Tim Slyfield because after years of working for consultancies that valued profit over people, they knew there was a better way of doing things.

Established as a consultancy that would act with integrity and compassion, providing our clients and candidates with absolute value and service.

In 2019, Stuart and Tim wanted to expand the areas of expertise to include the "as built" environment and AJ Construct was launched. Our joint mission is to build lasting relationships with clients and candidates by delivering superior search-based recruitment. The only way to do this is through clear, honest, and transparent communication at every step.
