Monica Bland

Monica is one of those people who consistently manages to deliver results with little fuss or fanfare but methodically and systematically does what needs to be done. Her diligence and determination help to keep Alexander James and AJ Construct running smoothly.

Monica’s career as an administrator began in the banking and finance industry before evolving into specializing as a PA/EA in the equities sector. Her cool, calm, and capable manner made Monica the obvious choice for roles that required sensitivity and professionalism.

After working in the UK for four years, Monica returned to Aotearoa New Zealand ready to put down roots and start a family – which she did. Not willing to be a lady of leisure, as soon as her youngest was settled in at school she took on the challenge of achieving a Bachelor of Business while juggling the role of Research Assistant within the University of Auckland’s Faculty of Education and Social Work.

In 2018, Monica joined Alexander James as an Accounts Administrator on a part-time basis allowing her to use her skills and experience in finance and business in general while balancing her analytical and research skills in her ongoing position with the University of Auckland.
