Toni Lea

Toni has nearly 20 years of technical recruitment experience from both an internal and external capacity, specializing in construction, engineering, and manufacturing. She also has extensive experience working in the UK, Middle East, Australia, and Aotearoa, New Zealand markets.

Toni spent two decades living and working overseas, across a range of industries and roles but really found her niche in recruitment as it combined her business acumen with a passion for meeting people and helping them get to where they want to go.

Working from the ground up has given Toni valuable insight into how recruitment works at all levels and makes her a leader who genuinely knows what it takes for her team to deliver successful search-based recruitment solutions; learning and development being an integral part of Toni’s management style and is just as important as diversity and inclusivity.

Toni may never have seen herself crossing back over to the agency side of recruitment, but the challenge of heading up AJ Construct and creating a consultancy with a conscience was too great so in 2019 Toni seized the opportunity and never looked back.

Outside of work, you will most likely find Toni at the beach with her young family (two boys!), camping somewhere with beautiful scenery, or just pottering around in the garden.
