Our client is a leading Tier 1 civil contractor delivering critical maintenance and infrastructure works across New Zealand. With a growing programme in the Bay of Plenty, they are seeking an experienced Surfacing Manager to lead regional operations, optimise programme performance, and ensure quality outcomes across reseals, asphalt, and pavement maintenance.
The Role
You’ll oversee the end-to-end delivery of surfacing programmes across multiple depots, managing crews, subcontractors, plant, and materials to meet safety, quality, and production targets.
Working closely with Project Managers and Regional Leaders, you’ll take ownership of planning, scheduling, and commercial performance, ensuring surfacing operations are delivered to the highest standard.
Key Requirements
- Strong background in asphalt, reseals, and surfacing delivery (5–10+ years).
- Proven leadership of surfacing crews or delivery teams.
- Ability to manage plant, logistics, and production schedules across multiple sites.
- Solid understanding of QA, H&S, and environmental compliance in surfacing.
- Collaborative, proactive leadership style and strong delivery mindset.
